Yes! We became part of the global SEA LIFE family in September 2012.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world with over 13,000 marine creatures from 700 different species! The guest journey from through all our different zones takes between 90 minutes to 2 hours.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium has extensive wheelchair access facilities throughout the attraction and wheelchairs are available for free hire from guest services on arrival.
Please be advised due to the steepness of our ramps that lead down to our deeper oceanariums (Shark Valley and Dugong Island), wheelchair users may find they require extra assistance.
Please note: we require a security deposit, such as a credit or bank card, which is returned upon return of the wheelchair.
The Glass Bottom Boat is a 20 minute behind-the-scenes tour of our huge Great Barrier Reef oceanarium (30 minutes for the 11:00am shark feed tour). The glass bottom enables you to get an incredible view of hundreds of tropical fish and some of the reef's more famous predators, sharks, as well as sawfish and other cool animals found on the real reef. No. SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is a self guided-tour. However, guided tours are available. If you would like to book a guided tour or a VIP guided tour please call the Call Centre team on 1-800-199-657 (Our telephone lines are open 9am - 5pm).
For most tickets a child is considered 4-15 years. 3s and under enter SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium free of charge. For certain add-on experiences the child age varies due to operating restrictions specific to those experiences. Variations to ages are stated both on this website and within the online ticket store prior to completing your purchase. Please read carefully before making your selection.
No. A child must enter the attraction with an adult (18 years and above) for safety reasons.
There is a family room located mid-way through SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and also at the SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium gift store.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium has a snack bar midway throughout the attraction for paying guests, and we also have food outlets in our main foyer, which are open to paying guests and all members of the public visiting Darling Harbour.
Unfortunately, for security reasons, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is unable to store any items for guests.
