The pinnacle of the New South Wales tourism industry occurred on Thursday night at the Royal Randwick as some of Sydney's most iconic attractions gathered to celebrate another successful year for tourism in Sydney. Despite the talented competition this year, we are pleased to announce that SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium was awarded the silver medal in the 'Major Tourist Attractions' category for 2013!
An Award-winning Attraction!
Although the criteria for selecting the winners are a secret, we like to think we were chosen because of our friendly staff, conservation efforts and of course the fantastic animals that make this aquarium so unique. In fact, we swear we saw our beloved dugong Pig break into a giant smile when he saw the trophy we were given for our achievement!
We would like to thank the 2013 NSW Tourism Awards committee and extend our sincere congratulations to all the winners from the night and whilst we are thrilled with our achievement we are determined that next year we will do one better and take home the gold medal. If just to see the look on Pig's face when we hold up that trophy!
